The New York State Death Records Index (page images) for 1880-1956 was uploaded in May 2017 to the Internet Archives website and is available HERE. Be aware that, depending on the year, these files may be HUGH and images may be in TIFF format. The death records index files are available by year and can vary in size and format. Early years are smaller in file size and more recent years may be very difficult to download at 10GB-20GB.
